This week, the prices of welded and galvanized pipes in the North China market have been adjusted by narrow fluctuations. The high prices are normal and the low prices are acceptable. The recent rise in natural gas prices has increased the cost of some raw materials for strip steel, and has been influenced by environmental protection policies. To a certain extent, the price of pipes has increased. However, due to the limited downstream demand, high-price transactions are still common. Businessmen are cautious and mainly wait-and-see. Welded pipe prices are expected to oscillate next week.
Scaffold pipe: Scaffold pipe prices weakened slightly this week. By the time of publication, the mainstream cash tax in the market was 3840-3880 yuan/ton, down 10 yuan/ton from last week.
Price: This week, the price fluctuation of strip steel tends to be strong. By the time of publication, 145 narrow bands contain tax returns of 3600-3610 yuan/ton, which is 10-20 yuan/ton higher than last week.
Start-up rate: This week, 99 production lines of scaffolding pipes in Tangshan were shut down, with 85 production lines. Start-up rate was 14.14%, down 3.03% from last week.
Transaction: This week, scaffolding tube prices slightly lower, overall shipment is general, with the strong invasion of cold air, the demand for scaffolding tube is further weakened and intensified, the market turnover is much different from November. According to merchants’feedback, the current shipment is mainly pre-production orders. There are fewer new orders this month, and the market atmosphere is relatively cold. Although the price of raw material strip tends to be more volatile, some shelf tube manufacturers do not follow or increase less, mostly low-price shipments. Recent market news feedback, affected by environmental restrictions, Tangshan Fengnan District, Lubei District shelf tube manufacturers stopped production until the end of this month, expected to reduce the resources of the new shelf tube market, this news has boosted the mood of shelf tube market, but businesses are still cautious to operate to avoid risks, in summary, it is expected that in the short term Tangshan scaffold tube price shocks will become stronger.
